IFFCY announces full lists of jury panels

The 30th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth (IFFCY) has announced full lists of its jury panels for different categories of the competition.

The information center of the event reported Gholamreza Azadi, Marzieh Boroumand, Kamal Tabrizi, Pouran Derakhshandeh, Rasoul Sadrameli and Reza Maqsoudi are members of the Iranian Cinema jury.

The jury of the non-cinematic Features Section is formed by Kioumars Pourahmad, Roya Teymourian, Behrouz Shoeibi, Alireza Khamseh, and Vahid Nikkhah-Azad.

The Iranian Animated Features jury is comprised of Mahin Javaherian, Amir-Mohammad Dehestani, Ravanbakhsh Sadeqi, Bahram Azimi, and Alireza Golpaigani.

Members of Iranian Short Films Association (ISFA) jury, to judge the Iranian Short Films Section are Peyman Nahan-Qodrati, Morteza-Ali Abbas-Mirzaei, and Kaveh Mazaheri.

The UNICEF section will be judged by Mahtab Keramati, Bahareh Yeganehfar and Behnaz Andishe-Rad.

The international category selection committee has been formed by Ferial Behzad, Majid Sheikh-Ansari, Nima Abbaspour, Mohammadreza Karimi-Saremi, and Kamyar Mohsenin.

Armagan Ballantyne from New Zealand, Floorje van Spaendonck from the Netherlands, Ursula Reich from Germany, Diana Fars from Syria, Shahab Esfandiari as well as Fereshteh Taerpour from Iran and Anis Al Aswad from Tunisia form the International competition jury.

The international animation section will be judged by Ferenc Varsanyi from Hungary, Natalia Chernysheva from Russia, Alexandra Sun from Hong Kong, Gerhard Klein from Germany, and Saeed Tavakkolian from Iran.

The CIFEJ section jury members are Sannette Naeyé from the Netherlands, Mohsen Chini-Foroushan from Iran, and Firdoze Bulbulia from South Africa.

Javad Hatami, Azita Hajian, Sirous Hassanpour, Gholamreza Ramezani and Ali Abdolializadeh form the jury of Iranian Cinema Competition.

Members of the non-cinematic features are Aliakbar Baktashian, Bijan Birang, Rouhollah Hejazi, Nasser Onsori and Fatemeh Goudarzi.

Iranian animated films section will be judged by Saeed Zakeri, Mohammad-Ali Safoura, Masoud Alamdari, Ali Mofazeli and Vahid Nassirian.

The International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults is organized annually by the Farabi Cinema Foundation in affiliation with the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs.

The event celebrates films made for children and youth. It also supports emerging filmmakers with innovative cinematic visions and ideas as well as serves as a platform for professionals to come together and exchange ideas.

The 30th edition of IFFCY is slated for June 30 to July 6, 2017 in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
